You don't know how wonderful dirt is

My painting is gradually improving. As you can see now I am able to define shapes! The title comes from writer James Joyce, in response to the modernist architectural critic and patron saint Sigfried Giedion. The piece below is my interpretation (or attempt) of that exchange; the juxtaposition of the rough paint strokes giving a sense of wear and age to the pure, sanitary, modernist walls.

Inside Tulsa Band

A few weeks ago I made the most of a slow Saturday by taking a few photos of my workplace. As you can see there were plenty of interesting instrument parts and tools lying in wait.

On a related note, I have taken over the store's blog, and will be updating it when we get interesting instruments and new toys.
