Stillwater Farewell

I had a little time last week to do a few sketches of Stillwater OK before I had to move. As a little farewell to the town I have lived for the past five(!) years, here is this sketch of the two tallest structures in the town, the Co-op grain elevator, and across the street the cement plant. Hopefully the added detail is noticeable- I recently got an A4 Moleskine journal, and I am really enjoying being able to spread out!

Too Long

Good lord, my head is still spinning from the insane pace of the past few weeks! Final projects + graduation + moving + lack of employment = one very confused little designer with a neglected website. The trauma is not over yet, but things should get a lot more calm over the next few weeks. I am looking forward to a bit of well-needed and deserved relaxation. Hopefully this will give me a chance to try and spruce up this webpage as well.
I am also currently soliciting work in Architecture or related fields, so if you are a potential employer, welcome! Take a look around, this is where I typically post sketches, photographs, and quasi-informed opinions about music.
Speaking of sketches, I have some I want to show you, but as I had been borrowing my friend's scanner and it is no longer available for my use, it looks like this site will be devoid of sketches until I can get one of my own... you'll be the first to know.

I Dream of Clicks and Bleeps

So, what happens when the meeting you're in doesn't get to what you were there to talk about? In my case apparently I start daydreaming of what Ratatat would look like in a tornado. I drew the sketch on a yellow legal pad with mechanical pencil and fountain pen, and added a few grey tones in Photoshop. Most of the instruments are recognizable, but I just had to add a Stylophone (it's the funny looking thing in the lower left hand corner) after seeing this video. I predict you will enjoy it!
